At R.K. International School, we believe in promoting not only academic excellence but also a healthy, active lifestyle among our students. On Saturday, 30th September and Monday, October 2nd, 2023, we conducted an adrenaline driven event that embodies this spirit - the Cross Country Race! This event was organised for all students from 1st class to 12th class. This event not only became a thrilling and memorable experience for all the students but also a team building and life skill building activity for all.
A Race for All Ages
Cross country running is a unique sport that challenges both the body and mind. It's not just about speed; it's about endurance, determination, and the ability to overcome obstacles. This event is designed to foster a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among our students while encouraging them to stay physically active.
The Cross Country Race took place on Saturday and Monday, October 2nd, 2023. The course will wind its way through the picturesque link roads, offering participants a scenic and invigorating route. The distance of the race will vary according to grade levels:
- Grades 1-3: [1.5 kms]
- Grades 4-6: [2.5 kms]
- Grades 7-8: [6 kms]
- Grades 9-12: [7.5 kms]
Building Resilience and Team Spirit
Cross country running is not just about individual performance; it's also about supporting your fellow runners. Our students learnt the importance of teamwork and perseverance as they navigated the course together. This event was an excellent opportunity for students to build resilience and form lasting memories with their peers.
Safety First
The safety of our students is our top priority. We have taken all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and well-organized event. Medical personnel and first aid stations will be available along the route, and strict safety guidelines will be followed.
In a Nutshell
The Cross Country Race on Saturday and Monday, October 2nd, 2023, was an unforgettable event that challenged our students physically but also fostered a sense of community, teamwork, and achievement. We look forward to seeing all our students, from the little ones in grades 1 to the seasoned seniors in grade 12, participate in this exhilarating race next year as well.
