Why Academics is important?

We believe that students and teachers work well in a school culture where academic success and the motivation to learn is expected, respected and rewarded.
Such an atmosphere where students learn to love learning for learning's sake, results in better academic achievement. Our aim is to provide environment where education, training and personality development of children who are a community’s future assets are nurtured and supported by proper training methods, appropriate physical space and favorable psychological environment.

How we do it?

  • Foster a supportive environment that promotes strong relationships among staff, students, and families
  • Implement meaningful, engaging instructional practices that develop students’ ability to manage their own learning
  • Develop habits, skills, and mindsets that build students’ social, emotional, and academic competence
  • Create an integrated system of school Create an integrated system of school supports that includes extended learning opportunities and community partnerships

High School (9th to 10th)

Our unique academic programme aims to encourage a lifelong enthusiasm for learning and discovery. We have a curriculum that blends the very best of educational tradition with an innovative, enquiry-based cross-curricular approach that allows students to make connections, synthesise knowledge and develop advanced research skills.

By the time students leave RKIS, they will not only have achieved their very best possible grades at CBSE, but also have a love for learning and a set of aptitudes that fit her to meet the challenges of both her professional and personal life in the years ahead.

Underpinned by our school values, we provide a wide range of opportunities to enrich learning, both during the school day and beyond. Whether our children join the school with English as their home language, or whether they learn the English language for the first time, we ensure they are all provided with the teaching and nurture they need. Our aim is to help all children to become independent, resilient learners who relish new experiences and challenges.

From early childhood through high school, RKIS provides challenging and appropriate instruction in the core subjects -- language arts, math, science, and social studies -- including advanced academic programs and enrichment programs. Elective classes are offered at the beginning in 9th class, and all students are required to take a class in additional skills. Fine and performing arts, physical education, and olympiads are integral parts of each child's education, from elementary through high school.

What Makes Us Different

Our broad curriculum promotes academic excellence, the best habits of independent thought and a lifelong habit of intellectual curiosity and love of learning.

RKIS's ethos is strongly committed to the development of the whole person: we do not see the learning that happens within the classroom as separate to that which happens beyond it.

Throughout the School, lessons are designed not just to teach students content and how to apply this in exams, but to nurture the skills of resilience, resourcefulness, reflectiveness and collaboration, and to help our students become creative and critical thinkers. We want them not just to be able to answer questions, but to formulate and ask the questions that will shape the future.

You Should Know

We are extremely proud of our exam results and our value added scores, which show each student achieving excellent results for them. But we are not a hot-house: things that live in hot-houses cannot survive outside them. At all times, we place the students academic education in the wider context of her wellbeing, their co-curricular activities and the need to flourish in a world where exam results, whilst very important as a passport to opportunities, are not the source of contentment and fulfilment

RKIS's ethos is strongly committed to the development of the whole person: we do not see the learning that happens within the classroom as separate to that which happens beyond it.
